Leaders In Care are looking to recruit a full-time Deputy Nurse Manager close to the Rutherglen area, just South of Glasgow, to work within a large, specialist, purpose built nursing home for the elderly.
This Deputy post comes with a salary of £39,000 p/a and additional company benefits. This is a full time, supernumery role working 40 hours a week on day shifts, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm.

You will be working as 1 of 2 Deputy Nurse Managers, leading a team of Registered Nurses and Support Workers to make sure that they fully meet medical, physical and emotional requirements of adults in your care.

To give you an idea of the role, if you were already up and running as a Deputy Nurse Manager, over the last week, you might have:

  • Supported the Home Manager and the team in all aspects of running the service
  • Led a team of Registered Nurses and Support Workers
  • Reviewed care plans, risk assessments and medication management

Motivation and mentoring skills are essential for this role, as you will be visible throughout the working day, observing, monitoring and advising the qualified staff on duty. You’ll also provide feedback on good practice to create a learning culture, and you’ll monitor staff performance against policy and clinical supervisions.

To apply for this Deputy Home Manager’s role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) with an active NMC PIN and significant nursing and social care and healthcare experience, along with a passion for working within the elderly care sector.
