The Practice Based Educator role involves:

• Leading and delivering day-to-day training and education at site/cluster level.
• Supporting the People Development strategy to enhance staff excellence and care efficiency.
• Collaborating with senior management to ensure high-quality, safe patient care through effective training.
• Delivering both formal and informal training aligned with clinical education strategies.
• Promoting the benefits of education and training to improve staff competence.

The ideal Practice Based Educator will have:

• Registration as a General Nurse (Part 1 on NMC register) or as a practitioner on the HCPC.
• Qualifications in teaching/education (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE, or Masters) and mentoring.
• Strong theoretical knowledge and evidence of professional development.
• Familiarity with NMC and HCPC Codes and guidelines.
• Proficiency in PC use, including relevant software and systems.
