Our client, a not-for-profit organisation, is seeking a Registered Manager for their brand new children's residential home, set to open in Spring 2025. As the Registered Manager, you will:

 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children's home.
  • Lead and support a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers.
  • Act as a corporate parent, ensuring the well-being and development of the children.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere for both staff and children.
  • Play a key role in setting up and developing the new service.
  • Lead Ofsted home inspections.

The ideal Registered Manager will have:

 

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in children’s residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in planning and implementing high-standard care plans.
  • Experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex behaviours.
  • Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.
  • Experience opening new services is advantageous.
  • We will consider a Deputy with a minimum of 2 years experience who is ready to step up to Manager.
