Social Worker - Children In Care

Outside IR35 | 20% Tax | Support in Accommodation | Short term contract | Supportive Management 

We are currently looking for an experienced children in care social worker to work for an authority based in the channel islands on a short term contract. 

Within this ole you will hold a complex caseload as well as supporting social workers in the team, covering tasks as needed due to leave. This will include chairing meetings, developing plans and assessments as well as working with colleagues across health and education to ensure the best possible outcome.   They will need to work regular on duty and support the team manager as and when needed.

Requirements: 

• Minimum 5 years experuence working with children in care and families 
• must be immediately available 
• 3 month contract 
• clear DBS
• Experience of working with children subject to child in need and protection plans and in public and private care proceedings beneficial
• Experience of working with children and young people who are at risk of CSE, CSA and missing from home.
• Experience of managing and accessing family contact arrangements
• Practitioners who have experience of direct work with children and families within a statutory setting,
• Have a track record of managing competing demands and meeting statutory timescales.
• Able to promote advocacy, participation, and children’s experiences.
