Agency Community Chemotherapy Nurse | Up to £45/h | Colchester
One of Leaders in Care’s national partners are looking for an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse (RGN) to join a nationally recognised specialist provider of community healthcare, on a 3 month initial contract. This community based role with various opportunities based from Colchester, and other areas of the south of England.
As Contract Community Chemotherapy Nurse You will typically see 3 – 4 patients a day offering them a range of Hematological and solid tumour Chemotherapy treatments.
The patient list and medication will be delivered to your home the night before and you will be given a portable fridge for transportation of the medication the next day.
There is an attractive day rate on offer of:
- £300 per day OR £45.00per hour
As contract Community Chemotherapy Nurse You will be given 3 months guaranteed continuous work with an extension option likely and you will work 37.5 hrs per week.
The criteria to apply for this Community Chemotherapy Nurse role is:
- A car driver with access to a car
- Previous experience administering Chemotherapy – Essential
- Full NMC registration with no restrictions
- Availability to start work within the next 4 weeks
Key responsibilities for this Community Chemotherapy Nurse opportunity include:
- Taking blood samples from patients
- Toxicity assessments
- Oral and IV Chemo administration
- Pump disconnections
- Line care
- IM/SC injections
